HASHTAG MIC DROP
2020 AQHA, NSBA, Premier Sires Mare
16.1h All Around Show Horse
AQHA HUS points in just a few shows! Started in the SMS, HMS, EQ, & Trail!
By Good Better Best (Congress Champion HUS Non-Pro & Congress Res Champion HUS Open. Champion Sire)
“Madge” Has had a great show season debut so far!! In just a few short shows, she has earned several AQHA points and Wins the Open Green HUS! She is super easy to ride and show in the pen, easy enough for an amateur to enjoy. No different than so many others by her all time famous sire Good Better Best!! Show her, enjoy her, and then breed her later if you want. She is nominated to the NSBA SIF and the Premier Sires, two of the most talked about/fun shows people love to go to - take her to win some money in 2025!
She is going to make a super fun all around as she is very well started in the showmanship, horsemanship, equitation, and trail. On the ground, she has a lot of presence for the showmanship pen - solid in her turns, trot, and back with a decent set up (just still a tad slow). Under saddle and going over poles, she is so talented! She is loping pin wheels and enjoying it - she is going to be one to beat when she is finished for trail. If you are shopping for one that is going to make a fun all around Madge is the one that will win the high points for you!
She has an easy going personality. She does best with a rider who tends to ask & allow with rewards developing a partnership versus someone who is more forceful. She stands great for the farrier and has great feet only wearing plain-Jane aluminum shoes for show season. She loads and hauls well (does best in the last slot so she has a tad more room being a bigger girl). Settles into shows and new places well without the need for a ton of show prep. Biggest area of improvement for Madge still would be more work around her head/ears/face as she has an aversion to work being done in that area, but with patience and some daily work (and maybe some slight bribery) she will continue to come around. She does let you clip her muzzle and legs without any issues. She is used to turnout at night and stall during the day (helps to keep her coat from getting sun bleached). She goes out well with others and is quiet in her stall during the day. No Vices. She is currently on a daily dose of regumate (as are all the mares in the same program) so no reason to not if you wanted to try her without it.
