Western Pleasure All Around Deluxe!

Are you looking for a big-hearted, loving gelding? - This guy is it! “Charlie” has the biggest heart and he wears it on his sleeve. He is so willing to learn, work, and each ride keeps getting better and better. In addition to having a great temperament and personality, he is GORGEOUS to watch move - so much rhythm, cadence, and natural ability…. you guys need to watch his video as this one will be very competitive in AQHA once he is finished.

Under saddle, Charlie has a natural, slow legged, jog and lope - and it is so smooth! He was born to go slow and his jog is so comfortable to ride. Then to watch him lope - you just want to watch him go around all day! He is just such a natural - sits back on that hock and throws out that front leg and glides around the pen at a steady pace. I cannot wait to see what big things this guy can accomplish as, no doubt, he’s got the talent!

On the ground, Charlie has been show successfully in the halter classes, and just started his showmanship practice just a couple weeks ago. He already is trotting off well, backing, setting up and pivoting (90 degrees currently). He stands quietly in cross-ties for grooming, bathing, and tacking up. Has great stall manners, and he is always happy to see people. He does clip but is a little unsure still not having it done much - with some positive encouragement and patience you can do his muzzle, bridle path, and even the start of his ears (but to carve them out he will need a light twitch - however take the time to work on clipping and this guy wont need a twitch long term).

He has such a love for learning and responds very well to positive reinforcement. For the most part, he has a decent amount of confidence, however there are random times where something will catch him off-guard and he will shutter/take a step and look - very quickly he goes back to what you were working on/doing. Charlie has only recently started hauling to shows, so he only has a couple under his belt so far. Therefore, the best fit for this horse is going to be someone with a little bit of experience to help finish him out under saddle and give him the small amount of confidence/reassurance when something catches his eye/doing something new. Someone who uses positive reinforcement with an ask/allow type riding style and this guy will give you his whole heart and trust. Spend the summer hauling around to shows, riding him around the warm ups, and showing him walk trot - and you will have a horse ready to win those all around titles come 2026 showing off all 3 gears!

Charlie loads/unloads well (sometimes can take an extra 5 mins to get in but not often). He also has great feet - his front feet tend to grow out slightly on different angles, therefore a decent farrier to keep his trims even. He is barefoot sound, with great solid feet. No maintenance, no history of any issues either and no vices.
